Stephanie Miller has been dancing since the age of three, beginning her training at a conservatory in Pasadena, California. She holds a BA in Dance from Saint Mary’s College of California and an MFA in Choreography and Performance from Mills College. Over the past 20 years, Stephanie has performed with and learned from an array of influential choreographers and companies, including Randee Paufve, Stacey Printz/Printz Dance Project, Davalos Dance, Katie Faulkner's Little Seismic Dance Company, and Hope Mohr Dance.

A career highlight includes studying Trisha Brown repertoire with former company member Shelley Senter and performing Glacial Decoy Redux for Trisha Brown herself at a Mills College alumni concert in 2008.

Now based in Portland, Oregon, Stephanie has transitioned from performance to education and leadership, directing the LEAP (Liberal Education for Arts Professionals) program at Saint Mary’s College while continuing to teach and train. She is thrilled to join the BeMoved community and share her lifelong love of dance with movers of all backgrounds.
