Rene Contakos has over 30 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising with a proven track record of cultivating long-term relationships and soliciting major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations. She started her career working in Washington DC as a fundraiser for a U.S. Senator’s election campaign. After moving to Portland in 1997, she has successfully raised money for numerous nonprofits: Portland Opera, Red Cross, Oregon Symphony, Oregon Humane Society, American Heart Association, Oregon Trout and BodyVox Twice! After working for organizations of various sizes and missions, she has come to the conclusion that the performing arts is where her heart is and she is honored to be part of the amazing team at BodyVox. Even though she is proud of the work she has done in the Portland community, her biggest achievement she feels, are her two amazing kids (Amalia and Michael).
