Kitty Sailer (MFA, CLMA, Pilates & Gyrotonic Method) began to dance as a child to Janet Jackson cassette tapes in the living room. She then studied ballet and modern dance with the Lake Erie Ballet, Loudoun Ballet, and at Vassar College. In 2012, she earned a Masters of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Utah and a certification in Laban Bartenieff Movement Analysis from Peggy Hackney/Integrated Movement Systems in Berkeley, CA. She was a dancer and rehearsal director with Headwaters Dance Company in Missoula, MT for 6 years. She taught undergraduate courses in Laban Bartenieff Movement Analysis, improvisation, composition and dance history at the University of Utah and University of Iceland, before certifying in Pilates and the Gyrotonic Method at Kinespirit Studios in NYC. She moved to Portland in 2021 and has maintained a private teaching practice while working as the Grants and Events Manager at BodyVox Dance Center since 2022.
