DOMINIQUE FERNANDEZ
DIRECTOR OF INDIVIDUAL GIVING
Dominique's passion for nonprofit work started young, spending weekends as a kid volunteering at food pantries around her hometown of Detroit. That commitment continued through graduate school at Central Michigan University, where she earned her master's degree in communication while helping run a women's shelter and volunteering at the animal shelter in Mt. Pleasant.
Over the past decade, Dominique has built a career connecting people with meaningful causes. She has helped nonprofits across Columbus, Ohio—including Girl Scouts of Ohio and I Am Boundless—grow individual giving programs, build lasting corporate partnerships, and secure grants that turn big ideas into reality. One of her proudest accomplishments was helping secure the funding for Ohio's first health center designed specifically to serve individuals with disabilities—a project that showed just how much can happen when a community comes together on a shared vision.
She's excited to call Portland home, dive into its vibrant arts community, and help more people discover the joy, creativity, and magic that make BodyVox such a special place. When she's not connecting with donors you'll probably find her hiking some mountain, going to some concert, or taking dance classes at BodyVox!
