Asteria has been a movement educator for 17 years and has managed dance centers for nearly a decade.  After receiving her dance degree from Northwestern Michigan College in a modern dance concentration, she took her skills around the globe where she worked in performing arts schools and dinner theaters across Australia and New Zealand. She has made it her mission to make dance accessible for all to enjoy the joy of dance. Asteria's skill sets have taken her to teach and perform in places such as New York, Los Angeles, Anchorage, Seattle, and more! She is also an apprentice with the local non-profit group, From the Ground Up, located in Portland, assisting women and non-binary people to tell their stories through performance art. In addition to managing the Dance Center at Bodyvox, she continues to perform, choreograph, and teach throughout the Portland Metro Area.
